JTorry Makeup Academy is for individuals wanting to jumpstart their dreams by becoming a Certified, Professional Makeup Artist (MUA).

You will be trained by Jenny Torry, a well-known Bridal Artist that has been dominating for the past 9 years in the South Asian Bridal Market, a Texas State Board Certified Licensed Instructor, and owner of JTorry Makeup + Hair Artistry. She has a genuine desire and passion to help teach artists of various levels to enhance their artistry. Along with learning about how to set the foundation for your MUA business, Jenny will teach you the skills and techniques needed to become a Certified, Professional Makeup Artist.

This comprehensive program was created to help develop, refine, and advance students’ skills as a makeup artist. The detailed program combines theory, live demonstrations, and hands-on training of the latest beauty trends. Students will learn the techniques that will allow them to further advance their professional career and/or launch their freelance makeup artistry careers.

Mentorship

• Obtain guidance before, during, and after the course of being a certified makeup artist
• JTorry Makeup Academy offers a lifelong relationship to help you achieve your goal as a certified makeup artist.
• Opportunity to learn business etiquette and how to have discernment
• Learn how to speak to your client(s) respectfully, professionally and personally

1 on 1 Training

• With classes being intimate and capped out between 4-8 students, you will be able to have 1 on 1 training, guidance, and feedback for all students to become as successful as possible.
• Encouragement and praise will be given to all students
• Opportunities for constant feedback improvement with the instructor being present at all times during the course
• Hands on training

Numerous Opportunities for Practice

• Complete exercises in a workbook that is provided to you

• Bring 4 models will different skin tones and types for exposure and practice
• Opportunity to practice on other students
• Homework to process and apply what is learned during class 
• Show your homework to Jenny and gain helpful feedback

Evaluation

• Pop Quizzes throughout the course to measure your comprehension
• Verbal feedback daily and throughout the course
• Obtain a Rubric provided by JTorry Makeup Academy that entails key areas and feedback for future reference
• Take a final written and timed exam on the last day to obtain the Certified Makeup Artist Certification
