1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the JTorry Makeup Academy website, jtorrymakeupacademy.com, and your enrollment in and participation in our courses and programs. JTorry Makeup Academy (“the Academy,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) offers in-person hands-on makeup training in Dallas, Texas, online makeup courses worldwide, and professional bridal hair courses. By accessing our website or enrolling in any program, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or enroll in our programs.
2. Use of the Website
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You may not attempt to disrupt or interfere with the operation of the website, transmit harmful code, or use the website for any fraudulent or unauthorized purpose. We reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to the website at our discretion.
3. Course and Program Enrollment
Enrollment in any Academy course or program is confirmed upon receipt of full payment or a required deposit and written confirmation from the Academy. Course schedules, instructors, and content are subject to change at our discretion. Spaces in in-person training sessions are limited and reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. You are responsible for providing accurate enrollment information.
4. Payments, Deposits, and Enrollment Fees
Important: All deposits and enrollment fees are non-refundable. By enrolling, you acknowledge and agree that any deposit or enrollment fee paid to secure your place in a course or program is non-refundable under all circumstances, including cancellation by you or non-attendance. Payment plans, where offered, remain your obligation in full once agreed to. Late or missed payments may result in removal from the program without refund.
5. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Deposits and enrollment fees are non-refundable under all circumstances.
- In-person training: If you cancel at least 14 days before the course start date, you may receive a one-time credit toward a future course equal to the amount paid beyond your non-refundable deposit. If you cancel fewer than 14 days before the start date, fail to attend, or leave a course early, no refund or credit will be issued.
- Online courses: Because course materials are delivered digitally, all online course sales are final once access has been granted. No refunds will be issued after access is provided.
- Cancellation by the Academy: If the Academy cancels a course or program, you will receive a full refund of amounts paid, or you may choose to transfer to another available course.
6. No Guarantee of Results
The Academy does not guarantee any specific career, income, or skill results from any training, course, or program. Your results depend on many factors, including your own effort, prior experience, and market conditions. Any examples of student success shared on our website or in marketing materials are illustrative only and are not promises of similar outcomes.
7. Intellectual Property
All course materials, including manuals, videos, presentations, templates, and curriculum content, are the exclusive property of JTorry Makeup Academy and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, share, sell, or redistribute any course materials in any format without our prior written consent. Enrollment grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the materials for your own learning only.
8. Photo and Video Release
Photos or video may be taken during in-person training sessions. By enrolling in in-person training, you grant JTorry Makeup Academy permission to use such photos or video, including images of you and your work, for marketing and promotional purposes, including on our website and social media. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, you must opt out in writing prior to the training session.
9. In-Person Training Conduct
Students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner during all in-person training. This includes arriving on time, maintaining appropriate hygiene, and treating instructors, staff, models, and fellow students with respect. The Academy reserves the right to remove any student whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or unprofessional, without refund or credit.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JTorry Makeup Academy’s total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms, our website, or any course or program shall not exceed the amount you paid to the Academy for the applicable course or program. In no event shall the Academy be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost business opportunities, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of our website or participation in our programs after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
